Nature Adventures: H is for Hibernation
February 1, 10:00 a.m. – 11:30 a.m.
Children, ages 3-6 with an adult, will enjoy hands-on activities, puppet shows or stories, crafts, and a hike. $3 per person including adults & siblings. Prepaid reservations required 520-6745, limit 24 participants.

 Story Trail to Celebrate World Wetlands Day
February 3, 10:00 a.m. – 11:30 a.m.
Imagine walking the nature trail when you come upon a page from a children’s storybook, and another and another! We will celebrate the wetlands with story pages around our nature trail. World Wetlands Day reminds us that wetlands help us cope with extreme weather events. It combines the pleasure of reading aloud while walking together outdoors. $3 per member, $4 per nonmember.

 2’s & 3’s Outdoors:  B is for Birds
February 8, 10:00 a.m. – 11:15 a.m.
Share the joy of your 2 or 3 year-old child’s discovery as he or she enjoys a story and an exploration hike outdoors. $3 per person including adults & siblings. Prepaid reservations required 520-6745. Limit 24 participants. 

 Night Sky Program: “What’s Up Tonight & Native American Skies.”
February 9, 7:00 – 8:30 p.m.
Join Bruce Bookout and the astronomers from the Colorado Springs Astronomical Society to discover what’s in the night sky along with correlating Native American star stories! $3 per member, $4 per nonmember.

 Family Nature Camp Day
February 17, 10:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m.
Kids, grab your parents and bring them to Nature Camp for a day! We’ll have a nature naming ceremony, build forts in the woods, play games—parents vs. kids, sing songs, and make a craft. Bring a lunch. We’ll provide s’mores around a campfire. For families with children in K-6th grades. Cheaper than a movie and better for family connections! Members” $20 each or family of four $70. Nonmembers $30 each or family of four $90. Preregistration and prepayment required. Limit 30 people.

Kritter Karavan

Do you LOVE animals? Meet Kathy Beers of Kritter Karavan for a hands-on look at many exotic animals and learn why you might not want to have one for a pet! Kathy is a licensed exotic animal rescue professional and retired teacher. You may see a tortoise, hedgehog, chinchilla, bearded dragon, and much more. $4 per member, $5 per nonmember.
