Two high school seniors from Colorado Springs have each been awarded a $2,500 scholarship by the Better Business of Southern Colorado’s Foundation.

Grant Padovich graduated in May 2012 from Vista Ridge High School with a grade point average (GPA) of 4.0. This fall, Grant started classes at the University of Colorado at Colorado Springs, where he plans to study human biology.

Josh Sherwood also graduated in May 2012 from Colorado Springs Christian School with a GPA of 4.45. He is studying political science at Colorado Christian University.

The two scholarship recipients were selected based on an essay written about how to handle a challenging ethical dilemma.

Representatives of the trustees of the BBB Foundation and a BBB staff member made up the selection committee.

Padovich and Sherwood will be presented with checks at a dinner on Thursday, September 27 at the Antlers Hotel as part of the BBB’s annual “Night of Excellence Awards.”
