I'm not sure what the hold up was, but 243 years after the founding of our country, the Fountain Valley finally has it's first craft brewery.
Peaks and Pines brewing company held a soft opening at their new Fountain, Colorado location last night to ensure everything was in working order for the official launch today.
Peaks and Pines opened on Tutt Blvd in Colorado Springs in 2015. That location will remain, but the new facility at 212 W. Illinois Ave in Fountain will serve as the main brewery.
The company did a great job rehabilitating a very distressed property, inside and out, with help from Fountain's Urban Renewal Authority. There's now a 12,000 square foot taproom,, 450 square foot event house and an outdoor patio with a food truck parked at the end of it. It's kid friendly, with board games and complimentary popcorn. You can bring the dog too, but keep him/her on a leash.
You'll find them right behind Snare Realty, off S. Santa Fe Ave in Fountain. The officially open today at noon. Regular hours are Sunday: 12PM - 8PM
Monday through Thursday 3PM - 9PM, Friday: 3PM - 11PM and Saturday: 12PM - 11PM. Reach them at (719) 358-6758 and follow them on Facebook.
