Joel Seibel and his family are very into youth sports. Joel has been coaching various leagues and sports for over 8 years. His wife Rachel has helped him get their four youngsters, Lahela, Shea, Jaxson and Caleb to and from games and practices at different hours on different days to different fields all over town. They figured they couldn’t be the only parents who wished they could take some of the hassle out of keeping the kids active and competitive. So, they created 4Kids Youth Sports.
4Kids Youth Sports is in its second year (third season). They offer flag football and soccer in Spring and Fall. The leagues are open to pre-k through sixth grade. All of the games and practices for both sports are held at the same place on the same day. Yes, you can get all of the kids to all of their games and practices without leaving the park.
Practices and games are each one hour long and take place at Fountain Creek Regional Park, off Highway 85 in Fountain, Colorado. All teams are co-ed and are separated according to age group. The seasons are 8 weeks long (so 8 practices and games). Last year 4Kids had around 70 participants and this year looks to be well ahead of that.
Cost is $75 per child per season. There are discounts available for military, multiple child enrollment and for volunteering to coach or ref. You can register through March 12 for the Spring season at www.4KidsYouthSports.com. Don’t forget to like their Facebook page at www.Facebook.com/4kidsyouthsports. They’ll be having a contest where 2 lucky winners will receive a free season, compliments of Les Schwab Tires in Fountain, Colorado.
