Monitoring project costs in real time just became easier for government and commercial contractors in Colorado.

After 18 months of training, Colorado Springs-based govIRG has become the only company in Colorado and the western states certified to offer Unanet software as a BPO (Business Process Outsourcing) program provider. Unanet is a real-time, project-based, affordable software for government or commercial contractors.

As a Unanet business process outsourcing (BPO) program provider, govIRG can now provide this software to small businesses in a cost-effective manner with a high return on investment, especially compared to the software most project-based companies are currently using.

The software helps companies remain Defense Contract Audit Agency-compliant, and gives project managers instant access to an integrated financial accounting system, with access to real-time labor costs, cash flow, supply chain and dozens of other metrics.

Project managers can better control their resources and costs by having real-time data for budgeting and forecasting, time and expense reporting, billing and revenue recognition, project management analytics and dashboards, and integrated financials with accounts receivable, accounts payable, general ledger and cost pool calculations.

Already several govIRG customers have switched to using Unanet to maintain their DCAA compliance and gain the benefits of an integrated system. Among those companies are C-TRAC (Center for Technology, Research and Commercialization), VEDO LLC, and Allied Mountain LLC, companies as small as five people and as large as 200.

Founding senior partner of govIRG, Kevin Hoskins has served in the government contract industry for over 25 years. Previously, he was chief financial officer for a medium-sized government contractor in Boulder, Colorado, from 1998 to 2006. He has provided consulting services to numerous small- to medium-sized companies in the government contracts industry over the last eight years. Hoskins is a financial management professional with a background in corporate accounting and finance, in both the private and public sectors.

Hoskins possesses technical expertise with Unanet, Deltek GSC Premier and Costpoint, QuickBooks Pro, as well as implementation/operation of various other financial systems and Defense Contract Audit Agency (DCAA) compliance.
