Roger Myers has been turning wrenches since he was 16 years old. He was a mechanic and instructor in the Army and afterwards worked for a number of companies, including Firestone, LubeStop, Auto Tech and more. He’s worked at and managed shops for more than 17 years.
He and his son Jesse (who’s been a mechanic himself for 2 years) had been talking about opening a place of their own. They looked at a site in Pueblo, then heard that the former AAMCO/Muffler Masters location in Security-Widefield was available. Roger has lived in the Fountain Valley area since 1992. He and his wife Raquel have 6 children, Jessy, Casey, Roger, Issac, Daniel and Jaquelyn. Roger liked the idea of having a shop in Security-Widefield. They closed the deal on the 5-lift, 6-bay shop in January and had their “soft opening” Monday, March 9.
A Good Mechanic offers general automotive repair and diagnostics. Roger is ASE Master Tech and Advanced Engine Performance certified and is well aware that his success depends on great customer service and satisfied customers.
A Good Mechanic is located at 1 Widefield Blvd, on the corner of Fontaine and Widefield Blvd. You can reach them at 719-390-2988. Hours are Monday through Friday from 7:30 to 5:30 and from 8am to 5pm Saturdays.
They're open for business as of today and they’ll be doing a Grand Opening on March 28th.
